In 2005, this singer, songwriter and veteran music minister answered the call of God to resume a concert ministry that has given her the opportunity to share the stage with some of Southern Gospel music’s most popular artists. During the past 10 years, she has performed an average 50 concerts annually at venues such as church services, camp meetings, revivals, women’s conferences and youth rallies.
Cathy Perry is no stranger to the spotlight. In September 2005, her vocal talent garnered the attention of Nashville music industry professionals who awarded her the top prize at the 2005 National Quartet Convention (NQC) talent competition, including a recording contract with a national music label and a single release to the national radio market. In addition to winning a recording contract, she was given a slot to perform on the event’s main stage in front of nearly twenty thousand Southern Gospel music fans.
As a Grapevine Records Artist, Cathy’s debut recording, Rest For The Weary, was produced by the 2006 SGN Producer Of The Year and Gospel Music Hall of Fame member Nick Bruno through Song Garden Music Group. Her single "Prince of Peace" has been well received by the national radio market, gaining the attention of several Christian publications and landing on Radio Charts nationwide.
Cathy has appeared nationally on the INSP network television program C.A.T.S. (Christian Artist Talent Search), hosted by actor/pastor Clifton Davis. Additional credits include appearing on TBN (Trinity Broadcast Network), winning the talent competition of the Waycross All Night Gospel Sing and being featured in The Florida Times Union, the Nassau County Record as well as other regional publications. One of her most treasured awards is the Award of Excellence given her by the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars), where she is often called upon to perform the National Anthem as well as other patriotic music.
Cathy and her husband, Trey Perry, make their home in Jacksonville, Florida and are both active in the music department of their church where Cathy is on staff as Music Minister. They have recently welcomed a new addition to the family - their daughter, Isabella Grace was born April 25, 2008.
